Environmental compliance

In our efforts to prevent pollution by minimising and managing air emissions, effluents and wastes, we comply with applicable legal, regulatory and licence requirements and seek to perform within industry averages as monitored and reported by the OGP.

Environmental compliance requirements are identified within EIAs and are subsequently addressed within our environmental management and monitoring plans.

In 2009, neither Cairn nor Cairn India recorded any fines or sanctions for non-compliance with any environmental regulations.
